a) The total reserve capacity procured in the Wholesale Electricity Market is allocated by the Australian Energy Market Operator across all market participants serving loads (energy retailers) on the basis of these loads’ Individual Reserve Capacity Requirements (i.e. their contribution to the system reserve capacity requirements). This includes any supplementary reserve capacity required in a capacity year.
