minister representing the Treasurer:
I refer to the review of seniors concessions.
(1) When the
Treasurer indicated that the review will ensure that concessions will be
targeted, does that indicate some or all will be means tested?
(2) Is there
any consideration being given to raising the age at which someone may qualify
for some or all concessions?
(3) What, if any, consultations have occurred with groups
representing seniors?

The review of social concessions is considering a range of options to ensure
that state funded concessions are allocated as efficiently as possible, are
correctly targeted and are effective in meeting the governmentXXX ###XXXs
priorities. The Minister for Local Government; Community Services; Seniors and
Volunteering; Youth is also consulting with the Seniors Ministerial Advisory
Council on relevant aspects of the review.
