Hon. Adele Farina questions the Department of Local Government and Communities regarding the omission of her complaints against the City of Bunbury from the 2013-14 Annual Report and seeks details on the actions taken by the Department in response to those complaints. The Department states the annual report doesn't include specifics of complaints and that the complaints didn't warrant ministerial intervention, but the Department liaised with the City.

(a) The Department of Local Government and Communities' Annual Report provides information on the year's achievements, Departmental changes, financial statements and legal compliance.  The Annual Report does not provide information on the specifics of complaints received by the Department.
(b) The Department reviewed the complaints and concluded that they did not provide sufficient and reasonable grounds for the Minister to suspect Council's failure to ensure that the City is properly performing its functions under the
Local Government Act 1995.
The Department liaised with the City to address the issues that were occurring at that time.
