The Premier has said that he will check on the minister’s comments. If he learns that she made those comments, as has been reported on the radio today, will he ask her for an apology? Dr GALLOP

I have found that when the Opposition asks questions like this, it is important to confirm the matter. As we have seen in this Parliament on many occasions - Mr Barnett: We were here. Dr GALLOP: The Leader of the Opposition is here on many occasions. We know that he is here on many occasions, and his presence is well understood by everyone in this House. His contribution to today’s parliamentary standards is negative. I will not respond to the hypothetical position put by the member until I check on what was said.
