How does the Minister for Education propose that the purposes of integrating technology into teaching and learning; developing teacher competencies in learning technology; accessing and acquiring electronic education resources, such as software, CD-ROMs and Internet resources; technical support; and developing school connectivity-local area networks and Internet access will be funded for those schools which, once they have demonstrated a capacity to achieve the target computer-student ratios and standards, will have insufficient technology funding available to meet the purposes? Hon BARRY HOUSE

I am advised that the Education Department expects all schools to meet the target ratios, and that most schools will have learning technologies funding remaining for other information technology related purposes. In addition, school grant funding includes funds for these purposes.
