MEN’S RESOURCE CENTRE, ALBANY
I have a supplementary question. Can the minister provide that documentation to the house, because I have seen the correspondence and there is nothing in it to suggest what the minister has said? Dr K.D. HAMES

I was informed last week, or certainly recently, by the member that he had seen that documentation. I have not seen it yet. If it comes to me, I will be happy to make it available. I am concerned that the centre was not told what I have been given to understand it was told, and I repeat my earlier statement: the centre provides an essential service in the region. My problem is that I have a lot of budgetary requests. I would have thought, given that it is in the member for Albany’s electorate, that he would have ensured that the previous government—given that it was in power only six months ago—provided ongoing funding in the budget. Mr A.J. Carpenter : They were funded. Dr K.D. HAMES : The former Treasurer had nothing committed in the four-year forward estimates, so he would have seen that there would be no money available beyond next year in last year’s budget, as would the member for Albany. Mr E.S. Ripper : In this budget process it would have been funded. Dr K.D. HAMES : Gunna, gunna, gunna! There was no money and there is not a scrap of evidence that it would have been provided.
