I refer to the Quairading to York section of road that is part of the York-Merredin Road which traverses the Shires of Quairading, York and Beverley and ask:
(a) what funding was budgeted in 2012–2013 for repairs, maintenance or design works on this section of road:
(i) if applicable, what specific project is this funding allocation for (e.g. resealing, widening, overtaking lanes);
(ii) if applicable, of the budgeted funds, have any been acquitted; and
(iii) if not, why not;
(b) is funding proposed for the Quairading to York section of the York-Merredin Road, in the 2013–2014 Budget:
(i) if applicable, how much funding has been allocated and over what time frame;
(ii) if applicable, of this proposed funding, what specific projects will be funded; and
(iii) if not, why not;
(c) does the Department of Transport acknowledge that a number of upgrades to the Quairading to York section of road have been listed as a priority request from Shires of Quairading, York and Beverley for many years:
(i) if yes, what assessments will be undertaken by the Department of Transport to ensure this road obtains priority funding; and
(ii) if not, why not; and
(d) can you advise from 1 October 2008 until receipt of this question the number of times the Shires of Quairading, York and Beverley has contacted the Department of Transport about this section of road?
