ORD RIVER SCHEME - IRRIGATED LAND
I ask a supplementary question. The minister did not answer the first part of the question; that is, does the minister believe there should be a base crop for the Ord River valley to ensure its success? Mr E.S. RIPPER

I am not designing the commercial proposals from the private sector. That is a matter for the private sector to consider. I do think, though, that the outcome will be that a variety of crops will be grown on the Ord, because I do not think the private sector would want to put all its eggs into the one basket.
