I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) Yes. (2) Mr Cook joined the then Ministry of Education as a teacher in 1962. He held various positions in the curriculum directorate and was a district director prior to retiring on 19 August 1997. Since then, Mr Cook has undertaken some consulting and contract work for the department and was a casual teacher at Balga Senior High School from 12 September 2005 to 19 December 2005.
