WESTERN TRADE COAST INDUSTRIES COMMITTEE
243. Mr M. McGOWAN to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. Why
did the Premier not have the ticker to advise Hon Phil Edman face to face of his
demise and the demise of his committee, rather than just sending him a letter?

AnswerView source ↗

This is from the person who peeped
out the window from behind the curtains to watch a demonstration. Remember
that. That was brave. It was a formal decision of government. I advised him in
writing. I think he knew it was coming. That is government. We govern properly.
We make decisions and we advise people. I do not run around and do little
backroom deals like you do, mate.
