In relation to the successful academically-selective Perth Modern School, I ask:
(a) when was the existing gymnasium constructed;
(b) has the Minister and the Department of Education been made aware of the need for a new gymnasium and indoor sporting facilities at the school;
(c) what proposals have the Department considered and what are the costings of each alternative proposal; and
(d) will the Minister table this advice, and if not, why not?

(b) Yes, some members of the school community have expressed this view.
(c)-(d) I am advised by the Department of Education that a concept plan [see tabled paper no.], with indicative cost estimates has been prepared for discussion purposes.
