(1) The Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) does not employ staff that work only on uranium exploration and mining proposals, and related permits, licensing, assessments and compliance. It currently has approximately 40 FTEs that work in these areas for all minerals.
(2) DMP does not record the hours spent by these staff on commodity specific applications.
(3) All staff within DMP are remunerated in accordance with the standards of the Public Sector Commission and the relevant Public Sector Awards.
