CHILD AND
PARENT CENTRES
413. Hon LINDA
SAVAGE to the minister representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the
comments of the minister on 30 May 2012 in Assembly estimates hearings about
moving child health services on to school sites where the 10 child and parent
centres are to be located. Will local families that do not live in the
catchment area for those schools, but do live closer to the schools than their
local community child health service, be allowed to access those child health
services and other allied health and parenting services that are to be located
at the school?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member
for some notice of the question. Yes, child and parent centres located on
school sites will provide services to the local community inclusive of child
health and allied health services. Parents will be able to access the child
health service that is closest to where they live.
