The net profit is not available. The gross sales figures were made available by the former lessee under the terms of the lease. The net profit of the business was not provided. In 2000-01 the hotel was under the operational management of the Rottnest Island Authority contracted to Axis Management. The gross sales of the business amounted to $4 198 572. The net operating profit was $823 607. The net operating profit demonstrates the performance of the hotel in the year. From this operating profit the authority paid the interim managers and other costs relating to the resumption of the business during the year.
