I refer to the decision to merge Verve and Synergy, without referring to any deliberation of the Cabinet, and I ask:
(a) on what date did the Minister first see the Cabinet submission proposing the merger of Verve and Synergy;
(b) what input, if any, did the Minister have in the preparation of the cabinet submission that proposed the merger;
(c) was the Cabinet submission prepared by the Public Utilities Office:
(i) if not, did the Public Utilities Office provide coordinating comments on this cabinet submission; and
(ii) if so, on what date did it provide these comments; and
(d) why did the Minister decide not to consult with industry and consumer groups regarding his decision to support the amalgamation of Verve and Synergy?
