I refer to the letter of 15 November
2021 to the Attorney General from Mr Ross Cameron outlining his concerns about
the policies and practices in the investigation of deaths without an inquest.

I
thank the member for some notice of the question. I provide the following
response on behalf of the Attorney General.
(1)–(4) Mr Cameron has written to the Attorney General and
raised matters of significance concerning a reportable death and
coronial process. The matters Mr Cameron raised are being given careful
consideration by the Department of Justice and a response will be provided to
Mr Cameron as soon as practicable.
