A member of parliament is questioning the government about a report on extending the residential feed-in tariff scheme to commercial customers, inquiring about its completion date, publication, government response, and the status of an election commitment. The government states the report will not be made public, they don't intend to respond to it, and that the election commitment (a feasibility study) was met, but the scheme is now redundant.

I refer to Question on Notice No. 7525, dated 2 May 2012, asked during the 38th Parliament, and which refers to report prepared by the former Office of Energy regarding the residential feed-in taffif scheme for commercial customers, and I ask: (a) on what date was this report completed; (b) when will the report be made public; (c) when will the Government repond to this report; (d) why has the Government’s election commitment not been implemented; (e) is it still the Government’s policy to adhere to this election promise; and (f) when will the Government meet its election commitment?

(a) 8 September 2010.
(b) The report will not be made public.
(c) The Government does not intend to respond to the report.
(d-f) The Government's election commitment was to undertake a feasibility study to investigate extending the feed-in tariff scheme to small business and commercial premises. This commitment has been implemented. The feed-in tariff scheme for residential customers has been suspended and hence the question of whether to extend the scheme to commercial customers is redundant.
