PUBLIC TRUSTEE — FEES
660. Mr P.J. RUNDLE to the Attorney General:
I refer to my question of 17 March
this year about the damning reports on the performance of the Public Trustee,
and the minister's response confirming that the appropriate body to
consider this matter is the Public Accounts Committee.
Given further concerns raised by the Auditor General and Public Trustee
clients, has the Attorney General progressed discussions with the chair
of the Public Accounts Committee about it initiating a wideranging and
transparent inquiry into the Public Trustee?

No. The Public Accounts Committee
said, in view of the Auditor General's announced forensic audit of that
office, that it would not be looking at it at this stage.
