MEN'S
HEALTH — MIDWEST
412. Hon DARREN WEST to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to question on notice 34 asked on 18 February 2015.
(1) Given that
potential users of the recently closed Midwest Men's Health service
will be required to access assistance through other means, have any of the
following groups received additional state government funding, either general
revenue or royalties for regions, to compensate for increased demand on their
services —
(a) Geraldton Regional Aboriginal
Medical Service;
(b) Centacare;
(c) Midwest Yellow Ribbon for
Life; and
(d) Goldfields–Midwest
Medicare Local.
(2) If yes to
(1), which groups have received the funding, how much have they received and
from which source?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) No additional
funding has been provided by WA Health to the Geraldton Regional Aboriginal
Medical Service, Centacare, Midwest Yellow Ribbon for Life and Goldfields–Midwest
Medicare Local. WA Health cannot comment on whether these services have
received funding from other WA government agencies or through the royalties for
regions program.
(2) Not
applicable.
