LIVE EXPORT —
SHEEP INDUSTRY
349. Mr P.J. RUNDLE to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question.
Does the Premier think it is time to do the right thing by Western Australia
and get on the phone to the Prime Minister to ask for Murray Watt to be sacked?
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Order, please! I
know lots of you attempted to answer, but the Premier, please—just the
Premier.

We know that Murray Watt has the
best interests of the industry at heart. He is working with Hon Jackie Jarvis —
Mr P.J. Rundle interjected.
The SPEAKER : Order, please!
Mr
R.H. COOK : I note the
interjection from the member for Roe and that on the issue of Canberra-based
politicians who hate Western Australia, we know who the champion of that
is: it is Peter Dutton. Peter Dutton is the man who will not commit to our fair
share of the GST. Just this week, he doubled down on his hatred of Western Australian
industry by opposing the production tax credit. When it comes to governments
and ministers that appreciate Western Australia, we need look no further than
the Albanese government. Anthony Albanese has come to this state more times in
his first two years in government than the last four prime ministers combined.
Mr R.S. Love interjected.
The SPEAKER : Order, please!
Mr R.H. COOK : He understands
what Western Australia needs to continue to grow in its prosperity, to grow Western Australian jobs and to make sure that we
continue to be a leading economy that drives the national economy . We
are working with the Albanese government to ensure that we do what is right for
WA, continue to create Western Australian jobs and continue to grow this
economy.
