(1) Has the Water Corporation received an offer from a consortium headed by Agri Tech to supply water from Wellington Dam using a reverse osmosis process and delivering the output to the Harvey-Stirling Dam pipeline? (2) Was the offer based on no government costs other than a 20-year contract to supply water at 60c a kilolitre indexed to the consumer price index? I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) The Water Corporation has not received a formal offer from a consortium headed by Agri Tech to supply water from Wellington Dam. Mr Peter Coyne met with representatives of the Water Corporation in October 2003 and wrote to the corporation on 20 June 2004 providing the concept of a proposal to desalinate water from Wellington Dam. The Water Corporation wrote to Mr Peter Coyne in November 2003 seeking more information to assess the proposal and is awaiting a response. (2)-(3) Not applicable.
