I refer to a contract awarded on 4th September to Paxon Group by the Department of Premier and Cabinet for an “Audit into WA Health Infrastructure Maintenance – Analysis, Advice and Support” and I ask: (a) What is the purpose of this contract; (b) Will you table the terms of reference for this contract; (c) Why is your Department the public authority in charge of this contract and not the Department of Health; and (d) What is the difference between this audit and the snap audit that the Government commissioned Mr Michael Barnes and Mr Neale Fong to conduct in August?

(a and d) Paxon Group were engaged to provide analytical support to Mr Michael Barnes PSM and Dr Neale Fong for the Audit into Health Infrastructure Maintenance.
(b) The scope of the Audit is outlined at Attachment A. This was provided to the Standing Committee on Estimates and Financial Operations as part of the response to request for supplementary information resulting from the 2025-2026 Budget Estimates.
(c) The Department of the Premier and Cabinet provided secretariat support for the Audit.
