I refer to the WA Road Safety Commission’s (RSC) advertising campaign 'speeding slows you down', and ask: (a) can the Minister confirm that neither she, nor any current staff member in her office were briefed on the creative concepts, draft media collateral or the like prior to the campaign going live; (b) on what date did the Minister first become aware of the advertising campaign; (c) what instructions did the Minister give to the RSC to remove the advertising campaign and on what date; and (d) what is the total breakdown of costs associated with the design, production, media placement and the like of the campaign?

(a) A briefing note was provided to my office on 21 December 2017, and approved on 29 December 2017. Final commercials were provided to my office in the week prior to the launch of the campaign on 11 February 2018;
(b) 21 December 2017;
(c) On 16 February, I asked the Commission to remove the campaign from media so that it could be reviewed and modified for use; and
(d) Campaign costs are as follows:
(i) Internet, Social Media & Cinema production costs:            $7,717
(ii) Internet, Social Media & Cinema media placement:          $17,995
(iii) Production of 8 videos:                                                  $135,779
