With regard to Windimurra Pastoral Station, I ask -
(1) Does CALM have the part or full purchase of the Windimurra Pastoral Lease under consideration?
(2) If no, has CALM considered this in the past?
(3) If yes to (1) or (2), for what reasons does CALM consider areas of Windimurra to be of value for the conservation estate?
(4) If yes, why has the purchase not gone ahead thus far?

(2) The Department of Conservation and Land Management has considered both part and full purchase in the past. (3) Windimurra has some unique land systems that would be of value in the conservation reserve system. It is however generally in poor condition. (4) There have been ongoing discussions and action by the Pastoral Lands Board in relation to the condition of the lease and it has been considered best to await the outcomes of that process prior to any further consideration of part or whole lease purchase.
