(1) I refer to the Minister’s response to Question on Notice 3228, where the Minister said a majority of the funding allocated to the schools in the Alfred Cove Electorate, under the Federal Government’s ‘Building the Education Revolution – National School Pride Program in 2009’, were spent on maintenance items. Will the Minister please list how the allocated funds were spent for each of the following schools:
(a) Applecross Primary School;
(b) Applecross Senior High School;
(c) Ardross Primary School;
(d) Attadale Primary School;
(e) Bicton Primary School;
(f) Booragoon Primary School;
(g) Mount Pleasant Primary School; and
(h) Palmyra Primary School?
(2) I refer to the Minister’s response to Question on Notice 3228, where the Minister indicated that a new Building Condition Assessment (BCA) survey for schools is being planned, could the Minister please advise:
(a) whether the BCA survey has been carried out and completed;
(b) if the BCA survey has been carried out and completed, will the Minister please list the items on the 2009 BCA that have been included in the 2010 BCA for the following schools:
(i) Applecross Primary School;
(ii) Applecross Senior High School;
(iii) Ardross Primary School;
(iv) Attadale Primary School;
(v) Bicton Primary School;
(vi) Booragoon Primary School;
(vii) Mount Pleasant Primary School; and
(viii) Palmyra Primary School; and
(c) if the BCA survey has not been completed, will the Minister advise when the survey will be completed and the expected date of the report being tabled?
(3) In relation to the BCA survey, could the Minister please advise in relation to the survey process:
(a) what is the role of the school and its principal in the survey;
(b) what are the criteria for ascertaining the Condition Rating Codes in a BCA; and
(c) do school principals provide input regarding the Condition Rating Codes decided by Building Management and Works prior to the publication of the BCAs; and
(i) if not, why not?

(1)  The Department of Education has advised Building the Education Revolution - National School Pride funds allocated to schools in the Alfred Cove Electorate were spent as follows:
(1)(a)  ApplecrossPrimary School.
Painting, paving, bitumen resurfacing and ICT cabling.
(1)(b)  ApplecrossSenior High School.
Painting, paving, roof plumbing and ceilings works.
(1)(c)  ArdrossPrimary School.
Carpeting, painting, roofing and verandah works.
(1)(d)  AttadalePrimary School.
Carpeting, roofing, painting and white boards.
(1)(e)  BictonPrimary School.
Painting, paving, floor finishes and smart boards.
(1)(f)  BooragoonPrimary School.
Carpeting, gardening, seating, court resurfacing and construction of a stage area.
(1)(g)  Mount PleasantPrimary School.
Roofing.
(1)(h)  PalmyraPrimary School.
Repairs, painting and the construction of a new netball/basketball court.
(2)(a)  The current Building Condition Assessment (BCA) inspection process commenced in July 2010 and is now complete.  Building Condition Assessments are conducted every two years.  The previous BCA was commenced in June 2008 with the report being presented in December 2008.
(2)(b)  As compilation and comparison of data from the two large Building Condition Assessment reports would require an unreasonable diversion of departmental resources, I am happy to provide the member with an opportunity to view these documents in relation to those schools listed by the Member.
(2)(c)  Not applicable.
(3)(a)(c)  On the day of inspection, the contractor meets with the principal, or delegate, to discuss the procedures for the inspection and any maintenance concerns.  The principal is encouraged to accompany the contractor.  At the conclusion of the physical inspection, the contractor will debrief the principal and advise of the inspection findings.  The principal is also given a list of any '
breakdown'
items identified during the inspection.
(3)(b)  The condition rating is made up of five codes to describe the overall condition of each element of the building fabric:
A = As New
B = Good
C = Fair
D = Poor
E = Failed
(3)(c)(i)  Not applicable.
