I refer to the State Records Commission Annual Report 2016-2017 which states that the State Records Office (SRO) has been unable to accept the transfer of archives from agencies since 2001 and raises concerns about the potential loss or damage to more than 56.5 linear kilometres of hard copy state archives, and I ask: (a) what is being done to address this issue; (b) has any additional funding been allocated to address this issue; and (c) is the recently created Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries supportive of the endeavours of the SRO to meet its functions and obligations?
