The Department of Housing advises:
(a) Following negotiations with the Commonwealth Government, $55 million of the 2012-13 budget under the National Partnership Agreement on Remote Indigenous Housing (NPARIH) was brought forward and received in 2011-12, decreasing the funding to be received in 2012-13. The balance of funding in 2012-13 and 2013-14 was cash-flowed to deliver the program of works over two financial years, 2012-13 and 2013-14.
(b) In 2012-13 under NPARIH the Commonwealth provided $51.888 million for the construction and refurbishment program; $765 000 for employment related accommodation in regional towns; $21.166 million towards property and tenancy management services; and $5 million towards essential services infrastructure.
In 2013-14 under NPARIH the Commonwealth provided $152.528 million for the construction and refurbishment program; $5.959 million for employment related accommodation in regional towns; $28.225 million towards property and tenancy management services; and $5 million towards essential services infrastructure.
