NATIONAL
ASSESSMENT PROGRAM — LITERACY AND NUMERACY — ONLINE TESTING
470. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
Minister for Education:
(1) Given that
all National Assessment Program — Literacy and Numeracy testing will be
online from 2016, requiring simultaneous access to information technology
hardware, what plans are in place to ensure that all WA students in public
schools will be able to participate in NAPLAN assessments in 2016?
(2) When will schools be advised how they will be able to
conduct NAPLAN testing in 2016?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
(1) Education
ministers nationally are yet to confirm the start date of 2016 for NAPLAN
online. Currently, each school's readiness is being assessed from an
information technology perspective. This will assist in informing the education
ministers' decision on whether the start date of 2016 is suitable.
(2) Not applicable.
