Minister for Planning:
I refer to the road closure of
Railway Parade from Apple Street, near Bullsbrook.
(1) Has this section of road been
made a private road?
(2) Who
authorised the closure of this section of road?
(3) Under what
legislation or regulation has the road been closed?
(4) Will the minister
now open this road?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(4) Both Apple Street and Railway Parade are local
roads under the care and control of the City of Swan. The City of Swan
notified Main Roads of the temporary closure in accordance with section 3.50 of
the Local Government Act 1995. Questions regarding this closure are a matter
for the council.
