I refer to police vehicles, and I ask: (a) What was the total cost of repairs to police vehicles in the years 2015 to year to date, where police officers were not at fault for damaged caused; (b) What was the total cost of repairs to police vehicles in the years 2015 to year to date, where police officers were at fault for damaged caused; and (c) Who has the contract to fix police vehicles after they have been damaged in a vehicle accident?

The Western Australian Police Force advise:
(a)-(b) The response required for this question would take a significant amount of time and resources to collate an “at fault” versus a “not at fault” response. It is therefore not possible for the Western Australia Police Force to obtain this specific information without significantly compromising other core policing activities. However, the cost for repairs to WA Police Force vehicles damaged by impacts is:
(c)  The WA Police Force use the Western Australian State Government Motor Vehicle Fleet Services CUA06916 and access a number of approved repairers statewide via the Fleetcare repairer network.
