890. Hon STEVE MARTIN to the minister representing the

I refer to the Housing Australia
Future Fund and other federal housing schemes.
(1) How much
money has WA, including local governments, received from the housing support
program out of the $500 million?
(2) How much
money has WA, including local governments, received from the $1 billion
National Housing Infrastructure Facility?
(3) Is WA on track to build enough
homes to receive some of the $3 billion new home bonus?
(4) If no to (2), has the WA government raised
concerns about this unreachable target with the commonwealth?
(5) Will WA reach our National

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question. The following response has been provided by the
Minister for Housing. I note that the information is correct as at Tuesday, 13 August.
(1)–(5) Western
Australian local governments have been allocated housing support program
funding of $4 167 197 thus far from stream 1 submissions and $105 300 000 from
the priority works stream. Allocations from the National Housing Infrastructure
Facility safe places inclusion round will be announced in due course by the
federal government. In the face of one of the tightest construction markets
this state has ever seen, the state government continues to speed up social and
affordable housing delivery through a range of innovative reform programs.
