(a) The number of teachers employed to teach pre-primary classes in 2002 is dependent on enrolments and the distribution of students across schools around the state. It is anticipated that 10 250 students will enroll in pre-primary classes in government schools across the state for 2002. Under the K – 12 Staffing Formula 10 250 pre-primary students will attract 551 FTE teachers.

1999 891 teacher FTE for 20 720 pre-primary enrolments
2000 888 teacher FTE for 20 654 pre-primary enrolments
2001 855 teacher FTE for 19 877 pre-primary enrolments
