MEDICAL RESOURCES —
SHARK BAY
903. Hon KEN BASTON to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I
refer to the Shark Bay region, which has experienced a surge in intrastate
tourism since COVID-19 travel restrictions were put in place.
(1) Is the
minister aware that increased visitor numbers to the region have placed
significant pressure on medical resources in the region, which is served by two
nurses and a visiting GP?
(2) Will the
minister commit to undertaking a review of the resources allocated to this
region to ensure that medical staff are adequately supported and that residents
and visitors can access medical services in appropriate time frames?
