MEMBER FOR VASSE — ROAD TRAFFIC INCIDENT —
CONDUCT OF GOVERNMENT STAFF —REVIEW
483. Mr M. McGOWAN to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. If
the Premier truly has nothing to hide, why does he not release that report
conducted by his department into these very serious events, rather than
covering up?

AnswerView source ↗

Mr Speaker, there is no cover-up.
Can the Leader of the Opposition not get that through his head? There is no
cover-up. What the Leader of the Opposition is seeking is a report relating to
an individual on some matters that could be quite personal. That is what he is
pursuing. There is nothing in that report that adds anything at all, other than
it makes it very clear that that particular staff member, in a very stressful
situation, behaved appropriately. If the Leader of the Opposition wants to make
an accusation, he should get up and make it and we will deal with it.
