I refer to the list of major achievements for 2005-06 as detailed on page 96 of the Budget documents under the Department of Premier and Cabinet and ask -
(1) Why is the reference to the Department developing a teachers’ resource kit listed as a major achievement for 2005-06 when it was not listed as an initiative in the previous Budget?
(2) What was the cost of developing this kit?
(3) Will the Minister table a copy?

1) The development of the Teachers' Resource Kit is a major component of the community education strategy listed as an initiative in the previous budget. While the Kit targets teachers, it has the capacity to be adapted for other target groups eg community groups. 2) The total cost of developing the Teachers' Resource Kit is $32,901 including GST. 3) The kit is being piloted prior to being finalised. A copy can be made available once this has occurred.
