Minister for Energy:
On behalf of the member for Albany,
I welcome the students from John Calvin School Albany.
I refer to the market dominance
arrangements for Synergy that the minister has implemented and note the
minister's obligations under regulation 31 of the Electricity
Corporations (Electricity Generation and Retail Corporation) Regulations 2013,
to table the Auditor General's report.
(1) What is the
minister's excuse for failing to comply with his legal obligations to
table in Parliament the reports given to him by the Auditor General on 12 September
2014?
(2) Will the
minister agree to amend regulation 31 to allow the Auditor General to table the
report in Parliament, so that the minister will no longer need to invent an
excuse in the future?
