This school is an independent non-government school. Although the school is registered as a non-government school by the Minister for Education, the State Government has no information about, or involvement with, the school's maintenance program, which is the responsibility of the school's governing body. It is understood, however, that the school has applied to the Federal Government for funding from the National School Pride component of the Rudd Government's "Building the Education Revolution" (BER) initiative. If successful in gaining Federal funding, it is understood the school will prioritise funds across the school's Kunawarritji and Punmu campuses.
