(1) There were 3106 children in the care of the CEO on the evening of 31 October 2008.
(2) 1169 were placed in relative foster care. An additional 424 were living with a parent, guardian or relative who was not a relative foster carer in a range of different circumstances, such as an attempt to reunify the family and family contact visits.
(3) 103 of the 3106 were placed with non-Government residential services.
(4) 980 of the 3106 were placed with DCP (non-relative) foster carers.
(5) 228 of the 3106 were placed with non-Government foster carers.
