2. Consideration is being given to the most effective consultation mechanisms for industry input on matters related to protection of agriculture and related resources. Options considered have included a policy advice and liaison role for a successor body to the Agriculutre Protection Board. 3. No. 4. The government is committed to the appointment to such committees of persons with appropriate skills, expertise and experience. Selection criteria for any such committee will reflect this policy. 5. Committee membership would include individuals with skills, expertise and experience relevant to the horticulture, dairy and beef industries. 6. The continued diversification of agriculture and the diversity of biological risks to which those industries may be exposed will require consultation mechanisms and advisory committee membership which can ensure appropriate advice is provided on such matters. 7.
