Hon. Sophia Moermond asks about funding allocation for community housing submissions within the $2.6 billion social housing investment and whether these submissions contribute to the 4,000 promised social dwellings. The Minister's response indicates submissions are considered on a case-by-case basis as part of broader reforms.

COMMUNITY HOUSING
1081. Hon SOPHIA MOERMOND to the minister representing the
Minister for Housing:
I refer to the call for submissions
for registered community housing providers to bolster the supply and diversity
of social housing across Western Australia.
(1) With the
government investing $2.6 billion into social housing, how much of that is
available for the submissions?
(2) Are these submissions to be a part
of the 4 000 social dwellings already promised and budgeted for?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following response has been provided by the
Minister for Housing.
(1)–(2) The Cook Labor government's call for
submissions process for registered community housing organisations is part of a number of reforms being undertaken to
strengthen the community housing sector and accelerate the delivery of social
housing throughout Western Australia. Submissions are considered on a case-by-case
basis.
