(1) Is the Minister aware of the significant lack of subdivided residential land within the Kununurra town site and that this critical shortage of residential land has lead to illegal and inappropriate dwelling developments being constructed in industrial areas and within odour buffer areas relevant to the sewage treatment plant and permanent caravans being located in the grounds of existing residential allotments and other unacceptable similar arrangements?
(2) Is the Minister aware that this critical shortage of residential land in Kununurra has lead to excessively high residential rentals, with the consequence of causing an inability to attract professional personnel to live in the town?

(1) - (2) The Minister is aware of the lack of residential land in Kununurra and is also aware some industrial land has caretaker housing and some caravans on it. The Minister is actively and intensively ensuring that all opportunities for the creation of new lots are being exploited expeditiously.
