On behalf of the Minister for Energy, I thank the honourable
member for some notice of the question.
(1) I am
advised by the Department of Finance's Public Utilities Office that
reviews conducted by the former Office of Energy regarding operational aspects
of the hardship efficiency program were internal documents. As such, the review
documents have not previously been provided to either me or my office. In the
case of the 2010 review, I note the Public Utilities Office advice that the
review was not finalised or endorsed by the former Office of Energy's
corporate executive or the former Coordinator of Energy. The Public Utilities
Office is currently reviewing the documents to determine whether they contain
information that is commercial-in-confidence.
(2) The
operational review referred to by the honourable member was conducted by a
third party on behalf of Synergy and was an internal document. As such, the
review documents have not previously been provided to either me or my office.
Synergy is currently considering whether the operational review contains any
information that may be commercial-in-confidence.
