I refer to the ‘Report on Parliamentary Visit to the United States of America’ tabled in Parliament by Mark McGowan MLA. The report states in part ‘The HMAS Stirling ammunition facility is very important to USN ships doing work in WA. In particular, the Military Sealift Command ships were relevant to the ammunition facility and we need to promote interpretability between the USN and RAN.’ -
(1) Can the Premier guarantee that nuclear weapons will not be stored at the HMAS Stirling Ammunition facility?
(2) If no to (1), will the Premier seek such an undertaking from the Commonwealth?
(3) If no to (2), why not?
(4) Can the Premier guarantee that depleted uranium munitions will not be stored at the HMAS Stirling Ammunition facility?
(5) If no to (4), will the Premier seek such an undertaking from the Commonwealth?
(6) If no to (5), why not?
