I refer to the Lancelin Off-road Vehicle Area (ORVA) administered by the Shire of Gingin, subject to a mining lease for the extraction of limesand and ask : (a) Is the Minister aware of the numbers of persons visiting the ORVA in Lancelin; (b) Is the Minister aware that the area is to be desanded; (c) Will the Minister work with the Lancelin community in the provision of an alternative ORVA site for recreational use; and (d) Will the Minister for Tourism consider compensation for Lancelin-based tourism operators and businesses when the ORVA is closed for recreational use?
