The Australian Labor Party and the Australian Democrats have both committed themselves to support the asbestos compensation legislation. Will the Premier introduce it in the other place before Parliament rises, so that it can be dealt with? Mr COURT

If that legislation could be drafted in time, and if the Legislative Council were sitting over the next few week, it could be introduced into the Parliament. I very much doubt it, but I am prepared to give the member for Pilbara a copy of the legislation when it is drafted.
