VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS — HEALTH LEGISLATION
965. Hon AMBER-JADE SANDERSON to the Attorney General representing the Minister for Emergency Services:
I refer to the so-called presumptive cancer laws and the
government's two-year-old commitment to extend these laws to volunteer
firefighters.
(1) Are these laws currently being drafted?
(2) If so,
when does the Minister for Emergency Services anticipate they will be
introduced into Parliament?
(3) If no to (l) —
(a) when does the minister
anticipate drafting will commence; and
(b) is the matter yet to be put to
cabinet for its consideration?
