I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) No. (2) To continue using the operating theatres for elective surgery. (3) No staff reductions have occurred at Fremantle Kaleeya Hospital, and none are planned. Actual full-time equivalent staff as at 31 January 2005 was 101.56, and as at 24 April 2005 it was 98.5. The reduction has been caused by natural attrition, and recruitment is in progress to fill the vacancies. Significant staff increases will occur in early May 2005 when further beds are opened in Kaleeya as part of the winter bed strategy.
