I refer to the answer to question on notice 352 on 4 March regarding the Aboriginal Housing Development Authority. (1) Who were the directors of AHDA at the time the unacquitted grant was: (a) made; and (b) due to be acquitted? (2) Was any justification or reason given by the directors or any other officer of AHDA for why it was unable to acquit $474 397; and, if so, what was the justification for that? (3) Does the Government have any idea what that sum was expended on? (4) Did the Government form any view at that time on whether the money was unacquitted because of - (a) misappropriation; (b) incompetence; (c) theft; or (d) some other reason indicating wrong behaviour on the part of AHDA; and, if so, on what basis did it form that view? (5) Was the Government able to form the view that the moneys were unacquitted for a reason other than any of those set out in (4); and, if so, on what basis did it form that view? Hon KEN TRAVERS
