ELECTORAL REFORM
1341. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the Minister for Electoral Affairs:
I refer to Legislative Council
question without notice 150, answered on 13 March 2019, in which the minister
indicated that the state government would introduce an amendment bill this year
to give effect to the Labor Party's election commitment to reform
political donations.
(1) Is it still the minister's
intention to introduce a bill this year; and, if so, when?
(2) On what date did cabinet approve
drafting instructions, if applicable?
(3) On what date did cabinet give
approval to print, if applicable?
(4) Will the
scope of the bill that will be introduced expand beyond that committed by the
Labor Party at the last election; and, if so, in what way?
