907. Hon STEVE MARTIN to the minister representing the
Minister for Health:
I refer to the decision by the St
John of God Geraldton Hospital to suspend its maternity services from this
week.
(1) Is Geraldton Health Campus fully
staffed in relation to nurses, midwives and doctors?
(2) Will staffing
levels be increased to cope with the extra demand on maternity services due to
the St Johns closure?
(3) Are two birthing suites
adequate to meet the demand of Geraldton and the midwest region?
